March 31st, 2001 - Performance of "An Cuirt" in Oban as part of a tribute to the late Iain Crichton Smith

April 26th, 2001 - Glasgow Mod Qualifying, Mitchell Theatre. Performance of "Oidhche Shamhna san Taigh-Sholais" Glasgow Lewis & Harris Group qualified and went on to win the premier award at the Stornoway Mod

June 2001 - Fundraising Ceilidh held in The Police Club, York Place - music by Bill Grieve

Aug 24th, 2001 - Fringe Traditional Ceilidh with Ian "Wallet" Mackenzie, Malcolm Jones, Margaret Stewart along with Agnes MacLennan and other artistes helped to make this a great evening of traditional gaelic music and song. This event was held in The West End Hotel, Edinburgh and launched our fundraising efforts for the Vancouver 2003 Mod expedition.

Dec 6th & 7th, 2001- Netherbow Theatre, Edinburgh. Performance of John Murray's "Oidhche Shamhna san Taigh Sholuis" and Alan Ayckbourne's "Seise na Pairce" translated by M. Craig.

Dec 7th, 2001 - A Traditional Ceilidh in aid of Vancouver 2003 fundraising was held in the West End Hotel with music by Ian "Wallet" Mackenzie & Colin Mackenzie with contributions from Agnes MacLennan and other artistes.

April 19th & 20th, 2002 - North West Tour, Venues - Sgoil Lionacleit, Benbecula & Sabhail Mor Ostaig, Skye. Plays were "An Dileab" by D.J. Morrison and "Seise na Pairce" by Alan Ayckborne, ("A Talk in the Park" translated by Morag Craig )

May 16th, 2002 - Mod Qualifying Competition at Mitchell Theatre, Glasgow. Congratulations to Chrissie Smith who was awarded best producer for "Seise na Pairce". Glasgow Gaelic Musical Association "GGs" won the competition and qualified for the 2002 National Mod Drama Finals in Troon.

May 25th, 2002 - Vancouver 2003 Fundraising Ceilidh Dance held in Thomas Morton Hall, Leith, music by The Carndubh Ceilidh Band.

June 23rd, 2002 - Vancouver 2003 Fundraising Sponsored Walk, Cramond to Aberdour via Forth Road Bridge (15 Miles)

Aug 22nd & 23rd, 2002 - Edinburgh Festival Fringe, performance of "An Cuirt" by Iain Crichton Smith and "Home Brew" by Alistair Campbell

Aug 23rd, 2002 - Fringe Traditional Ceilidh at West End Hotel with the Carndubh Ceilidh Band, Margaret Stewart & Donald MacRae, another fine evening of traditional Gaelic music and song.

Nov 15th, 2002 - An Reiteach (a traditional Highland Wedding Settlement) with entertainment by The Carndubh Ceilidh Band, Margaret Stewart & Donald MacRae. Venue for this Vancouver 2003 fundraising event - West End Hotel, Edinburgh.

Feb 1st, 2003 - A'Bhanais Taighe, a mock wedding (a wedding follows a Reiteach) in aid of Vancouver funds was held in Thomas Morton Hall, Leith. Entertainment by The Carndubh Ceilidh Band, Margaret Stewart & Donald MacRae with contributions by friends of the group.

May 5th to 14th, 2003 - Canadian Mod, Vancouver. More info Vancouver

Aug 21st & 22nd, 2003 - Edinburgh Festival Fringe, fresh from the Vancouver Mod the group perform "Tog Orm Mo Speal" by Iain Crichton Smith and "An Aiseag" by Paul MacInnes.

Aug 22nd, 2003 - End of Fringe Traditional Ceilidh at The West End Hotel with The Carndubh Ceilidh Band and other artistes, yet another fine evening of traditional Gaelic music and song.

Feb 6th, 2004 - "Suipeir Burns" A Burns Supper with a difference at The West End Hotel, Edinburgh. Special guest for the evening was the well known Burns authority and enthusiast Murchadh Moireasdan, Murchadh delivered “Oraid Chuimhneachan Burns”. Other highlights - “An Altachadh” Iain MacAsgaill, “Cuir Failte agus Oraid dhan Mharag” Murchadh MacIlleathain, “Tam O’Shanter” Calum Camshron, “Deoch Shlainte na Caileagan” Calum Moireach, “A Freagairt airson na Caileagan” Criosaidh Nic a’Ghobhainn, and“Urnaigh Uilleam Chrabhaich” Ruairidh Domhnullach.

March 19th, 2004 - Gaelic drama at Talla Dhuisdeil, Sleat, Isle Of Skye.

March 26th, 2004 - Gaelic Drama at "Bothan", Club Oidhche Ghaidhlig, The Meadow Bar, Edinburgh.

Aug 26th & 27th, 2004 - Edinburgh Festival Fringe, performance of "One Night in Heaven" by Torcuil Crichton & Mairi Kidd and "Cluich a Nis" a revue written and performed by the group. More details - Fringe 2004

Aug 27th, 2004 - End of Fringe Traditional Ceilidh at the West End Hotel with the Carndubh Ceilidh Band and many other artistes, a convivial evening of traditional Gaelic music and song.

Oct 17th, 2004 - Winners of National Mod Drama Finals, Perth, Scotland with "One Night in Heaven" National Mod

 

Future Events

Aug 24th & 25th, 2006 - Two evenings of Gaelic drama, music and song during the 2006 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Aug 25th, 2006 - End of Fringe Ceilidh featuring the Crowdie House Ceilidh Band, venue is the West End Hotel.
